Emmanuelle Alt has vamped up her second Vogue Paris May 2011 issue, based on the Kate Moss cover. The colors are very French nationalism, too. It’s no secret that I was very disappointed by Alt’s demure first April issue, leaving my hopes higher for her second one, based on the May cover.

Kate’s man-handlers are generating plenty of controversy over at TFS.

I think Kate Moss can handle herself, and Alt isn’t going to cross into Carine Roitfeld territory any time soon. What Alt has is a Mert & Marcus cover that has people talking, instead of having Gisele Bundchen front the April cover in the same Dolce & Gabbana dress shown already on Vogue Spain and Vogue Germany months earlier. Ouch!

The entire April issue was too safe for me. Vogue Spain’s May 2011 issue is a Smart Sensuality blowout in sophistication and sex appeal, making Roitfeld’s April Paris issue look positively anemic and for demure girls only.

The May cover is Kate’s second on Vogue Paris. Last year, Emmanuelle Alt styled Moss in maillots for the June/July 2010 issue, lensed by one of our favorite fashion photographers Mario Sorrenti, Kate’s old beau.

Kate looked ravishing in Vogue Paris June/July 2010 issue, leaving Mario Sorrenti to pull out all the stops, lensing the fashion icon mostly nude for Vogue Hommes International, also styled by Emmanuelle Alt. Truthfully, Alt didn’t have a lot of work to do, because Kate isn’t wearing any clothes.

It wouldn’t surprise me if Kate gave Alt a little sensuality guidance on how she would appear — or not show up — in the May 2011 issue of Vogue Paris. After all, Kate Moss has certain sex appeal standards.  Anne
