A brilliant job of branding dot connection was done by DDB San Francisco in producing their new marketing campaign for Pine Sol in late 2009.

The facts are that housework and sex go together. A guy with a mop in hand is a real turnon for women and a recent study confirmed that busy people who spend more time on housework, have more sex.

DDB got utterly, totally reckless in one scene, having a rich white guy bringing home to his African American queen, waiting for him on the bedroom balcony of their mansion. So not politically correct and so wonderful!

Forgetting a minute about the environmental aspects of Pine Sol — which I must check out these days to curb my enthusiasm for great advertising — I think the Pine Sol ads are simply brilliant! Let me repeat … simply brilliant. Now my readers think so, too, based on page reads! So you’re brilliant as well. 

Perhaps I can help launch a viral campaign here, because this DDB creative Pinesol thinking deserves a big score. I only hope that Chlorox people didn’t get cold feet, because these commercials put Pine Sol on the map. Now make it eco-friendly, and Pine Sol is a cleaning triumph.  Anne
