Modern American Women Join Cultural Creatives In a New Smart Sensuality, Global Mindset on Women's Rights

Koo Bohn Chang captures model Hye Jung Lee in Vogue Korea’s January’s editorial ‘Woman in Folk Painting’.The images resort deeply with the mission of Anne of Carvesville, which is to tell women’s stories “from fashion to flogging”.

Smart Sensuality Women Explained

It not often that we see a synthesis of women’s folk art heritage with intellectual modernism in fashion. More often we see the fashion indie woman at home in colorful, decorative tribal and folk influences. We refer to her as a Cultural Creative and also a Smart Sensuality woman. This term Smart Sensuality is a sub-category of women who embrace the global values and life-journey carpet-ride of the cultural creatives, while being woman of style and sensuality.

From its inception, the Smart Sensuality woman has always fused cultural creative and the dominant modern values, too. Not a woman who believes that she who has the most clothes wins as monied moderns often do, the Smart Sensuality woman takes a strong belief in technology and science, along with intellectual rigor into her mindset.

The result is a fusion — a new hybrid creature as Koo Bohn Chang represents in this editorial.

Converting the Modern Values Woman

Let me add that writers like me are making inroads with modern-values women, converting them to our point of view with a series of questions about sexuality, morality, body image, fashion, social conscience, labor laws, environment, politics and endless other questions too numerous to list.

The Republican War on Women has scared the wits out of countless American women as we watch attempts to turn back the clock on women’s progress in America. Modern values women are suddenly listening with keen interest to what we are saying.

AOC exists to tell women’s stories — and yes, women’s history, too, from the very beginning. This is the purpose of our 12 goddesses, who ground the GlamTribale jewelry collection. In sharing their mythology, we study the downfall of women from all-powerful goddesses in Sumeria 10,000 BC to creatures lower than dolphins in Aristotle’s hierarchy of beings.

The digital age has created new opportunities for women to share our history internationally. Our friends and readers come from all over the world, including proxy servers in the Arab world and parts of Africa, where Anne of Carversville is now banned.

It is our relentless pursuit of truth about women’s minds, bodies and souls that results in our perceived threat to mankind.

Archaeology and anthropology promise new help in unlocking the mysteries of women’s disappearance under burqas in Egypt, while a similar assault goes on in America.  Virginia Governor Ultrasound Bob McDonnell or Pennsylvania Governor ‘Close Your Eyes when your head is in government-sponsored lockdown’ Bob Corbett hold court on the place of women in the 21st century, as social conservatives seek to throw a lasso around women’s rights in America.

AOC is an answer to them and their supporters. For more information on the Smart Sensuality woman — as well as traditionals, moderns and cultural creatives, read Smart Sensuality Women Explained . ~ Anne.

Stone Cold Fox Presents 'The Virgin Bride'; Anne Says Lilith Would Like the Apple Touch

STONE_COLD_FOX PRESENTS ‘THE VIRGIN BRIDE’ from LEAF on Vimeo.

Mysteries of Garden of Eden

The History Channel show ‘Mysteries of the Garden of Eden’ is without question the most important hour of TV I’ve ever watched.

While ‘Mysteries of the Garden of Eden’ doesn’t focus on why the patriarchy rose to power, it shatters the Genesis myth once and for all in my eyes, showing how the exact stories of the Bible are traced back to Sumerian culture, when women were first veiled.

Religious scholars — not heathen liberals as Rush Limbaugh would suggest — explain that the Garden of Eden story is almost identical to the Sumerian creation myth. We’re talking the president of Pepperdine University and two priests from Notre Dame.

Lilith, Adam’s first wife in the Old Testament, was once known as a Sumerian fertility/agricultural goddess before she became demonified by later religions. HC gives Lilith a much more central role than I’ve ever experienced on TV. ~ Anne

Lilith is one of our key goddesses in my new jewelry collection GlamTribale. The demonized Lilith is experiencing a strong presence in pop culture. Read the details in Ben’s recent blog post Find Your Inner Lilith Wearing Smart, Raw, Beautiful Jewelry By GlamTribale.

Eve Ensler's 'Emotional Creatures' Fights Patriarchal Arguments About the 'Cult of Womanhood' With Perfect Timing

Maryna Linchuk | Santiago & Mauricio | Interview Russia October 2012

Fashion, vanity and emotionalism have strong connections in the history of women’s lives and our cultural perceptions of what makes women tick.

At AOC, we explore the validity of these perceptions with science and research papers, choosing to ignore these popular precepts about womanhood that are deeply embedded in our brains.

Above and left for complete editorial, Santiago and Maurizio Serra capture Marina Linchuk as Lady Godiva for the October 2012 issue of Interview Russia.

The map below of a woman’s heart reminds me of key points that I raised in an earlier AOC essay ‘The Cult of True Womanhood’ & Female Cardinal Virtues | Feminism 101.

The artistry of Kellogg’s map serves as a historical reminder of the stupidity of men’s assertions about the nature of womanhood.

Doing a bit of research on D.W. Kellogg, I arrived at a most interesting online exhibition on women called Beauty, Virtue & Vice True Womanhood: An AAS Online Exhibition

This exhibit is rich with provocative insights and information about women’s history.

French Roast News

Sung Hee | Kah Poon | Dossier Journal S/S 2012 | Lady Godiva’s Operation

We began this morning French Roast montage with Maryna Linchuk playing Lady Godiva. We posted earlier in the year this Dossier Journal editorial ‘Lady Godiva’s Operation. Reviewing it, I thought it had no place in this reverie until I watched the trailer of Eve Ensler’s new playEmotional Creature’.

Within the context of Ensler’s latest provocation on womanhood — this time from the perspective of teen girls — the editorial fell into place.

With the world at a pivot point in terms of the development of women’s roles worldwide and in America, we still hear the same old arguments about women’s true destiny.

Ensler’s ‘Emotional Creatures’

The first New York City rehearsal of ‘Vagina Monologues ‘playright Eve Ensler’s new show ‘Emotional Creatures’ was dedicated to Malala Yousufzai, a 14-year-old Pakistani teen activist who was shot in the head Oct. 8 by a Taliban gunman.

At the time, Ensler stated, “The reason I wrote ‘Emotional Creature’ was to honor people like Malala Yousufzai — a fearless young activist who is an inspiration to teen girls the world over. We cannot begin this process without keeping her in our thoughts. Today’s first rehearsal is dedicated to her bravery, her cause, and what I hope is her speedy recovery.”

‘Emotional Creatures’ is inspired by Ensler’s best-selling book of the same name and represents a series of fictional monologues, ensemble and songs about and for teen girls created by Ensler and inspired by girls she met around the globe.  The cast is comprised of six talented young women, in their early twenties, who give powerful and heartfelt expression to very believable stories highlighting the intensely emotional and complex worlds of girls, writes ART hound.

Tammy Baldwin Brainiac

Rep. Tammy Baldwin will become the first openly gay US senator. Baldwin (D) was elected this week by the state of Wisc.Wisconsin Senator elect Democrat Tammy Baldwin was not an emotional creature when Sen. Ron Johnson’s (R-Wisc) said he hoped he would be able to work with her — as soon as he explained the “facts” of the budget to her.

“Hopefully I can sit down and lay out for her my best understanding of the federal budget because they’re simply the facts,” he said. “Hopefully she’ll agree with what the facts are and work toward common sense solutions.”

Baldwin responded to Huff Po: “I was a double major in college in mathematics and political science, and I served for six years on the House Budget Committee in my first six years in the House.”

“And I am very confident that when proposals come before the U.S. Senate, I will be able to evaluate them as to how they benefit or harm middle-class Wisconsinites. A yardstick of ‘does it create jobs,’ ‘does it lower the deficit’ and ‘does it help grow the middle class’ is an important one. I’m quite confident that I have those abilities,” she added.
