PASHKO: The First Collection by Patrick Robinson on Kickstarter

A new kind of luxury. Blending all aspects of your life – active, office, home

Former Gap Design Director and long-time American fashion industry professional has launched a Kickstarter campaign to raise $50,000 to launch a new brand called PASCHKO. Let’s help him make it reality. ~ Anne

The PASKHO Story

After leaving my job at the GAP two years ago, my son and I were walking down the street talking about what he wanted to be when he grew up. At a corner we stopped to let a taxi pass in front of us. My son suddenly turned to me and asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up.

I laughed at first, but after a few weeks, I realized my son had planted a seed that made me question what the hell I had been doing with my life. Somewhere between Giorgio Armani and the GAP, I had stopped designing clothes and had instead become the guy who manages the people who design the clothes.

What do I want to do when I grow up? What I’ve always wanted to do; I love to design clothing. Simple, beautiful, comfortable clothing that people can afford. It was this desire that led to my new endeavor: PASKHO - ancient Greek for passion. PASKHO is my passion.

This is the introduction of my first men’s and women’s collection which includes lounge, active wear and urban clothes geared toward the athlete. The clothes evoke an active, urban soulfulness, filtered through a cool, minimal aesthetic. Pieces are versatile enough to take you from a city bike ride to a lunch meeting, from working out to just hanging out.

My clothes are about freedom of movement and mind, bringing together active sportswear with the demands of everyday life to create a new lifestyle brand for the athlete in everyone.

I’ve obsessed over the details of fabric, fit and finish. Using my years of experience in the fashion industry, I’m working with the same fabrics and factories as many of today’s top luxury brands. And since I am selling directly to you, I can offer the collection at amazing prices.

For women, there’s sensual beauty in the shapes and silhouettes. A classic bomber is cut long and slouchy. Soft knits are airy in featherweight cashmere, cotton, or viscose. Lean urban pants are detailed with exposed zippers. Sporty warrior trousers carry you through the day in adaptable technical fabrics. Sexy tanks and tees are an everyday staple.

Menswear continues the idea of urban athleticism. Innovative fabrics and details combine to create distinct urban staples. Lean futuristic tailored knit trousers, a sweatshirt bomber fused with toughness, precise tees with supple strength, and combat pants in irresistibly light technical fabric.

PASKHO is about collaboration. I want a dialogue with you and I want you to be part of our community from its inception. It’s time for a new model in fashion – a simpler one. I make what you want, I sell directly to you, and together we reduce waste, reduce pricing, and make better products with more integrity.

Join me; become a part of the PASKHO movement.

Kickstarter Bloodhoney* Seance Will Bank #9 Photography Spot; $35,000 Is #8 | How About It AOC Lovers!!!!

Updated: We are coming in for our Kickstarter landing with joyful hearts. There is no doubt that Harun Mehmedinovic’s Bloodhoney* Seance coffee table book will be in the Kickstarter Top 10. (DONE!!!) YES!!!! We do believe we will bank #9 spot at $32,600. DONE!!!

#8 spot is a stretch at $35,000. Just sayin’ …

Updated Sunday Dec. 16: Thanks to everyone for our finish of $34,431!!!!

If you are new to Anne of Carversville and don’t know about Bloodhoney* Seance, read the story of my wonderful intersection with Harun Mehmedinovic, who I discovered on Vogue Italia in spring. Ours is a wonderful story of my not following up with my promise to interview him and his NOT bugging me about it.

Having been badgered by more than one French photographer and an artist or two about not moving fast enough for his needs or refusing pictures of nubile 12 year olds or —.  Yes, yes, I know that it’s my website but some artistic men forget that fact and think I’m their personal pr assistant. What can I say!

Not Harun. He didn’t even tell me about his Kickstarter campaign, which was three weeks old when I accidentally bumped into it. Life has changed a lot since November 19, and I am so thrilled to have been a part of this project and to make up for not keeping my word to Harun. ~ Anne

Follow the entire story with this link. And get yourself a signed, numbered copy of this fabulous book, ready to ship in April 2013.
