Strawberry Souffle

(makes 4 servings)

Ingredients:
1 cup strawberries (cleaned, hulled and pureed)
2 tablespoons sugar (optional)
1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)
3 egg whites (room temperature)

Directions:
1. Mix the strawberry puree, sugar and vanilla extract.
2. Beat the egg whites until you get soft peaks.
3. Gently fold the strawberry puree into the egg whites.
4. Pour the mixture into 4 greased ramekins.
5. Bake in a preheated 350F oven until puffed and golden brown on top, about 12 minutes.

Strawberry Gazpacho

via Carina-forumGazpacho is one of my top 10 summer foods, and that’s before I researched the aphrodisiac qualities of tomatoes, in last week’s post: Having Your Way with Sexy Tomatoes: A Good Time in Bed and Big-Time Sexual Health Benefits.

Combining strawberries and tomatoes in gazpacho, perhaps making enough for repeat performances, could be a key secret to sizzling summer weekends or better yet — sex during the week, kids or no kids.

We have a lovely recipe via Carina-forum, translated by Google.

• 600 g strawberries
• a small sweet onion
• 1 small red pepper grilovanny (no translation Russian to English)
• 1 small cucumber
• 2 ripe tomatoes
• Heresnogo vinegar (to taste) (no translation Russian to English)
• EV olive oil (to taste)
• salt, black pepper, a pinch of chili, sugar (optional)

• Clear tomatoes of skin and seeds.
• Make cruciform cuts in the skin of tomatoes and zablanshirovat (blanch, I presume) in hot water for 30 seconds.
• Plunge into cold water and remove skin.
