Martha Stewart's Fashion Model Days

These photos of Martha Stewart from a past Bazaar Magazine look very Catherine Deneuve to me. Using them in a client presentation a few years back, I wrote that sensual, aging women must be taken seriously.

Last week, Vogue’s Andre Leon Talley chatted up Martha, sharing that Karl Lagerfeld recently told him that Stewart was once a Chanel model. Martha just smiles and says it was only for a short time. Racked shares the story. Video of Martha and ALT is here.

Martha’s buddy Tory Burch was also surprised to learn about Martha’s interesting past. She had the Smart Sensuality Martha Stewart walk through some of her old photos, then posted on Styleite.

Martha’s 15-year relationship with billionaire Charles Simonyi, about five years younger than Martha, ended in 2008. Simonyl then married a 28-year-old Swedish socialite. No comment!
