Christian Amanpour Is Just Dazzling in Harper's Bazaar!

The August 2009 issue of Harper’s Bazaar gives us a look at Christian Amanpour as a sexy, Smart Sensuality woman. For just one moment, the 51-year-old Christiane hangs up her fatigues and headscarf, leaves the kids with dad, and heads to the makeover salon.

At least for the duration of her Harper’s Bazaar photo shoot, Amanpour, CNN’s in-the- trenches, bullet-dodging, headscarf-wearing senior international correspondent is a glamour girl.

“I would love to be elegant,” says Amanpour. “We all want to look like Audrey Hepburn or Jackie Onassis.” When it comes to Michelle Obama, she opines, “It’s good that the first lady is going out there looking sharp and talking smart and straight to young people today. People in the world are going to be looking at her and emulating her. Not just in her fashion sense but in her accomplishments, professional life, and how she raises her children. And if I had arms like hers, I would certainly be baring them.”

The brilliantly analytical, articulate Amanpour shares the boo-hoo that she was taunted for having ‘Jagger Lips’ as a child. Make no mistake, Christiane.  Science tells us that women with full lips are considered more desireable.
