Rent Castello di Reschio's Villa Arrighi in Umbria, Italy

Castello di Reschio is a very private estate that covers 2,700 acres of Umbrian countryside on the border of Tuscany. This is the green heart of Italy, where little has changed since St. Francis of Assisi preached here in the Middle Ages.

Scattered around this unspoiled landscape are 50 farmhouses that seem to have lived forever. More than 20 have been beautifully restored for clients to create private houses or part-of-the year rentals. Each home is unique and can be very modern and sophisticated as is the case with Villa Arrighi in Umbria.  The farmhouses and other spaces have been created and furnished by the owners of Castello di Reschio, Count Antonio Bolza and two generations of his family who live in the 11th century Castello and run this magnificent estate.

One of the villas is Villa Arrighi, a 6-bedroom, 6-bathroom retreat, that offers 6,600 square feet of living space and which can accommodate up to 12 guests.  Arrighi can be rented for prices that range from $23,000 to $30,000 per week. Prices change depending on the seasons, as the residence can be rented all year round.

For more information about this fabulous property, we turn to Italian Villas by Luxury Retreats.

Arrighi was in time gone by a watch tower with an adjoining fortified farmhouse and has a commanding view over to Tuscany and all along the Niccone Valley. It has been meticulously restored creating a Main House, Guest Cottage and Bread Oven. The imposing L-shaped main house was the former fortified farmhouse and watch-tower and is approached through the entrance gates, past the guest cottage. A large paved courtyard with fountain leads into Arrighi which has some fine Romanesque features and the origins of the building clearly date back to the 11th Century. It has been renovated to preserve the austere external appearance whilst creating a spacious light modern interior with sandstone flooring and a glass encased external staircase tower. Extensive private grounds and wonderful views over the Reschio Estate and castle, an 18 x 4 m overflow pool and vaulted pool house and the minimal interior make this a unique property.
