Jolie-Pitt Design Asprey Jewelry for Charity

There’s no more symbolic Smart Sensuality jewelry icon than the snake. Granted the serpent has a mixed pedigree, depending on your cultural point of view.

Angelina Jolie and her new serpent-inspired capsule collection, designed with partner Brad Pitt for Asprey, have made peace with each other in the garden of family life.

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie at the BAFTA Awards.The gorgeous bracelet enhanced Jolie’s arm as she and Pitt attended the BAFTA awards. Besides its seductive powers, since the birth of their daughter Shiloh, Jolie has considered the snake a talisman and protector of her family.

Hopefully sales of The Protector collection will proliferate far and wide, in Asprey stores in London, New York, Beverly Hills, Tokyo and Dubai. The Brand and Angelina duo hope to create a generous influx of much-needed cash to support the Education Partnership for Children of Conflict.

Jolie and Pitt declined to talk about their collection for Asprey, opting instead to discuss the aims of the charity in an e-mailed quote attributed to Jolie: “These are the children who most need a safe place to learn, a place to heal, a place to learn reconciliation, a place to build a better future and a place — to just be children. Yet the education for these children is often forgotten. Tens of millions of children and adolescents in conflict are not in school.”  via WWD
