Joyce Gundrum Is Lancaster Festival $150 Gift Certificate Winner

We had a wonderful Sunday afternoon in Lancaster, Pa, introducing the GlamTribale collection at Lancaster Food & Spirits Festival.  The winner of our $150 gift certificate is Joyce Gundrum.

Lancaster is such a wonderful place to celebrate nature and the arts, the beauty of the countryside and some of the best organic food on the planet. From my Philadelphia loft, I watch the Lancaster trucks arriving early in the morning, to support the restaurant downstairs.

Lancaster’s Central Market is listed as one of the top 10 fresh markets in the world, says It’s the oldest, continuously-operated food market in America, founded in the 1730s.

Thanks to the many people who raved about GlamTribale. We are still getting out the kinks, so to speak, in a collection one week old. Lancaster was a perfect audience in which to observe people’s reactions to our jewelry.

We got high marks on originality, beauty, design, and pricing structure. I observed an ageless passion for the product — which is the same customer base we have on Young women loved it, as did their moms and grandmothers.

I was concerned that perhaps Baubo (a Greek goddess of frivolity and laughter) of was too crazy for Lancaster, but she was a love.

In terms of corrections, I have a design meeting tomorrow and Thursday, to make some changes that came from my own observations about how the product looked and fit on real people. One of the necklace clasps was driving me crazy, not that anyone complained. We will now be offering some of our necklaces in two sizes, not only our bracelets.

It’s key that we list all the key stones and ingredients in the jewelry, and I hope to have that installed online by the weekend. There is just sooooo much to do and not enough time.

It’s too late to register for the 2012 fall crafts show in Lancaster, but we will definitely be there in 2013 and look forward to developing a warm relationship with the Lancaster community by joining the Pennsylvania Guild of Craftsmen.

There is no doubt in my mind that we will establish our credentials as craftspeople in PA and beyond. Thank you again to everyone who was so wonderful to us. ~ Anne
