Virtuous, Patriotic, Unoppressive Carversville Air
Written on 2-11-10 reflecting on my original journal of 6-16-07
AnneTracker| The idea for Anne of Carversville germinated from this view in my back yard. Reading Esquire’s story on Angelina Jolie caused me to reflect on my life, and how I had gotten off track, especially with my writing.
Being in Carversville, in a world now full of terrorism, hatred and ill will, I was successful in my life but sad over my own lack of involvement in issues that mattered to me. As much as I love New York, I find that I reflect much more in Carversville, which is such a deep embrace of my humanity.
Everywhere one goes in Carversville, there’s a connection to the original founding of America. Names like William Penn dot the big house up the road. Carversville is patriotic without being oppressive and dogmatic, which describes me.
The story of Danny Pearl continues to haunt, even now. I remember the weeping the day the news announcement came that he was beheaded by terrorists.
I am inspired greatly by Angelina Jolie and want to be a more integrated woman, as she is. There are no more excuses.
