Tribute in Light Inspires Me on September 11

I wrote this morning that Tribute in LIght is magical, spiritual, almost Godly to me. It reminds me to surround myself with simple examples of beauty and inspiration in everyday life.

There are many videos on YouTube about Tribute in LIght, but this is my current favorite.

If anything comes of today, my hope is that we make a better effort to understand each other … to listen …  to realize that there is no winning side in this conflict. We all lose.

Yet, we must be vigilant in protecting each other. I am not a polyanna on this topic. I take the opposition seriously; they want me dead.

Rest assured that there are only gorgeous signs of life in my 19th floor perch … except for the photos. A pink silk taffeta curtain and an orange faux-zebra rug, Marilyn in a photo high on my bedroom wall. Candles, flowers, art books galore.

My little building pulsates with the rhythms of mostly young, ambitious, optimistic New Yorkers. This is the good life for the Little Engine That Could, the survivor I call home.  Thank goodness she’s not a gossip monger. There are tales to tell in this building.

Love,
Anne
