The Rustbelt Prepares to Go Green

Michigan Governor Jennifer Granholm raned 10th on Tina Brown’s Daily Beast ‘Thinking Man’s’ sex symbol listIn Michigan, despair has bred particularly bold action on the subject of a green economy. Under the leadership of Democratic Michigan governor Jennifer, the state had the third-highest number of clean-tech patents in the last decade, surpassed only by california and New York.

In the share-out of Washington’s stimulus bill on August 5th, Michigan won more grants for electric cars than any other state.
