The Global AID Promise Pot

Anne’s ‘Dots’| Bill Gates is concerned that the goal of raising $100 billion Copenhagen pledges will decrease existing promises to global health care.

This possibility leads us to wonder about the checkbooks attached to global aid giving. While Gates is focused on global aid, ours is America at this moment. Do we actually look in the checkbook, so to speak, before promising global aid? Or do we pledge what seems reasonable, with the idea of figuring out the finances at a later date? Read on in ‘Dots’.
