The Economist On America's Tea Party Movement

HopeTracker| Without being able to define it, The Economist calls the tea-party movement the most potent force in American politics, by some accounts.

The photo alone shows many women among the 600 conservative types who paid $549 to attend last weekend’s convention in Nashville. Most have not previously participated in politics.

Much of the Nashville event was devoted to teaching the fired-up newbies practical skills, such as using Facebook and Twitter to spread the word, raise money and get out the vote so that “true conservatives” could challenge Democrats and RINOs (Republicans In Name Only) in local elections and primaries.via The Economist
