Tesia and Toyota Join Forces on Electric Car

tesia toyota will produce electric carTesia model SGreenTracker| Toyota and Tesla surprised an industry with their announcement that Toyota willl buy $50 million worth of stock when Tesla Motors goes public. Toyota will also put a shuttered Toyota factory in northern California Fremont into the pot, to build the Model S Tesia sedan, along with expertise in engineering and building a mass-market car.

Industry analysts say that Toyota went to Tesla so it could quickly catch up with Nissan, GM and Mitsubishi.via Wired.
