Reusable, 'Green' Grocery Bags Raise Questions About Lead Content

GreenTracker| Going green is just one more complicated activity of modern living. The NYT reports that safety concerns are mounting about the amount of lead in Chinese-manufactured synthetic, reusable grocery bags. There’s no evidence that these bags pose an immediate public health threat, but concerns are mounting so rapidly that NY Senator Charles E. Schumer sent a letter on Sunday to the Food and Drug Administration, requesting an investigation.
