Protests for Aafia Siddiqui Grow in Pakistan
Love | Peace| The comparatively quiet story of Dr Aafia Siddiqui’s conviction in Manhattan federal court of trying to kill American servicemen interrogating her in Afghanistan has hit the big screen, as a result of thousands of protesters flooding the streets of Pakistan.
In response, Pakistan’s president Asif Ali Zardari directed his government to immediately establish contact with the family of Doctor Aafia Siddiqui, and begin negotiating her release from an American prison. Read on in Love | Peace.
