President Obama Leaves India With A Warm Embrace from PM Singh
GlobeTracker| The photo of President Obama and Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh in their joint press conference Monday in Hyderabad House in New Delhi accompanies a WSJ story about currency regulation, which will be a big topic at the G-20 meeting.
We’re not sure we’ve ever seen such a warm embrace photo between two international heads of state. If you believe that images say a thousand words, this one sends a major message at a time of growing American tensions with China, and also Pakistan.
We won’t read too much into the photographic symbolism, but it’s hard to miss.
