Organic Food Trucks Finally Serving 'Fast' in Manhattan

GreenTracker| New York City street food is getting organic credentials. At the northwest corner of Park Avenue and 53 Street (right near the famous Four Seasons restaurant, where New York’s power elite dines) sits Organic Cart NYC, which not only serves organic-certified food but operates from a solar-powered cart. The pilot project is owned by Alberto Gonzales, whose restaurant GustOrganics, offers wholesome specialties like hummus, salads, spinach omelette, empanadas, and goulash.

Organic Cart NYC uses no plastic cups or bottles, serving freshly-squeezed oj and NYC water in bio-compostable cups.

Good to Go Organics serves organic hot dogs and sausages from Aoolegate, along with vegetarian Smart Dogs and Kinderhook Farm grass-fed burgers at two locations in Central Park.

Downtown the La Cense Burger Truck is usually stationed at 111 Wall Street, serving 100% natural grass-fed burgers from Montana.
