NYT Profiles Bon Appétit's New Editor Adam Rapoport

Ruth Reichl, the former editor in chief of Gourmet, wrote in an e-mail:  “There are so many serious food issues today — sustainability, politics, the environment, health, social justice — and a bigger appetite than ever for information about them.”  Mr. Rapoport says that he will be mindful of such issues  but does not see education as the magazine’s primary role.
