Norway Joins International 'Al-Qaeda Bomb Plot' Probe

Love|Peace Three men, all residents of a citizen of Norway, with ties to al-Qaeda were arrested for efforts on bomb plots in the US and UK, says Janne Kristiansen, head of Norway’s security.

Norway moved to arrest the men, based on an international movement in the US and perhaps elsewhere, to detain and identify other international terrorist suspects.

One of the men was a Norwegian citizen, 39, a Muslim Uighur from China, who had lived in Norway since 1999. The second man is an Iraqi citizen, granted Norweigian residency on humanitarian grounds, and the third was an Uzbek national, 31, who was granted permanent residency in Norway on grounds of family reunification. via BBC News
