'My Name Is Khan' Opens In India to Calm & Good Reviews
Love | Peace As a follow up to our earlier story about protests surrounding the film ‘My Name Is Khan’ scheduled Friday Feb 12 opening in India, the show did go on, althoughin a reduced number of theaters.
About 3000 protestors were taken into custody, as activists of the Hindu nationalist group Shiv Sena party vandalized theaters over remaks by the film’s star Shah Rukh Khan that the Pakistani cricket players should be allowed to participate in India’s professional cricket league.
