Monica Bellucci's New Art Book | Vanity Fair Italy Photos

ArtTracker| Italian actress and new mom Monica Bellucci, 46, describes herself as a ‘ripe pear’ posing for her latest Vanity Fair Italy magazine cover, photographed by her good friend Vincent Peters. The nude photo shoot promotes a new book of her portraits ‘Monica Bellucci’, lensed by Bruce Weber, Peter Lindbergh, Helmut Newton, Fabrizio Ferri, Richard Avedon and Ellen von Unwerth

‘Being photographed is a way of getting to know yourself. And I’m dying to know who I am, for better or worse.’ Admitting that she was sad when some of the images were taken, Monica Bellucci continues with her ripe pear metaphor, saying she is ‘perfectly ripe and mature’, ‘very sweet and succulent’, and living in ‘a kind of state of grace’.

Bellucci’s schedule hasn’t slowed. She recently wrapped a Dolce & Gabbana advertising spot, as well as a feature film, ‘Manuale d’Amore 3’. The latter required a little patience on behalf of her costar, Robert DeNiro.

The film goddess was breastfeeding and needed to break the production every cycle every three hours.

Monica Bellucci’s book is on sale in the US end of November, 2010.

Appearing in the documentary movie “The Big Question”, about the filming of “The Passion of Christ”, Monica Bellucci describes herself as an agnostic, even though she respects and is interested in all religions. “If there’s something I believe in, it’s a mysterious energy; the one that fills the oceans during tides, the one that unites nature and beings.” via AOC
