Mediterranean Diet Produces Better Moods Than Atkins

Love to Eat| A study of 106 overweight or obese people in Australia found that people lost similar amounts of weight on a meat and dairy Atkins diet vs a higher carb, Mediterranean-style one. However, researchers determined that dieters on the more carb-rich diet were less depressed, less angry and confused after a year than those on the Atkins-style diet.
