Learning About Human Nature from Marina Abramović

We wrote about the Abramović show from the view of one of the artists Deborah Wing-Sproul.

The T-Magazine video focuses on preparation for the event at Abramovic’s country house and emerges as a commentary on human nature in the 21st century. Last week, the same story was told from the pov of Deborah Wing-Sproul, a weekend guest.

Typically the artist’s museum experience engages her or him and the viewer (us). The MOMA show involved three parties, with the performers enduring limitations and expending consciousness (hopefully) to create yet another layer of meaning to our engagement with the show. Read on in Les Artistes
