Israeli Military Takes Control of MV Rachel Corrie

Love | Peace Israeli troops have boarded the Irish-owned MV Rachel Corrie, carrying 20 passengers and crew, after it ignored orders not to break the three-year-blockade of Gaza.

After taking control of the ship, without resistance from passengers, including Nobel Laureate Mairead Maguire, the Israeli military steered it towards the Israeli port of Ashdod, several hours away.

Isrel’s treatment of the activists will be closely watched around the world after the disastrous Israeli navy raid on a Gaza bound convoy on Monday which led to the deaths of nine people, mainly Turkish activists. via London Times
