Israeli Army Clears Soldiers in Gaza Aid Ship Incident

Love|Peace An Israeli army review of the May 31 incident that left nine Turks dead, when Israeli navy commando soldiers boarded a Gaza-bound aid flotilla, says the Israeli soldiers “operated properly, with professionalism, bravery and resourcefulness” and “exhibited correct decision making.”

CNN has provided a meaty review of the report, and we have no comment.

At this moment we have confusing information about the Libyan-sponsored air ship which left the Greek port of Lavrio June 10, headed for Gaza. This moment The Sofia Echo reports now that the ship called “Amalthea” has changed its destination and is heading for the Egyptian port of Al-Arish instead.

Israel has asked the UN, Greek and Moldovan officials to intervene, but the activists insist they are Gaza bound. The detailed Sofia Echo report is the only one on the Internet now, saying the ship is on a new course. (12:52 pm July 12, 2010).
