Ines de la Fressange's New Book 'Parisian Chic' Delivers

DolceTracker| Ines de la Fressange’s new book Parisian Chic: A Style Guide by Ines de la Fressange is already #54 in books at Amazon. Check it out.

In her book, Ines de la Fressange — a true icon of French chic at 53 — shares her personal tips for living with style and charm, the French way. Having spent years of her life in Paris, as Fashion Director for Victoria’s Secret, and then as a top industry consultant to America’s biggest sensual brands, Anne assures us there is such a truism as French style.

Amazon writes about the book: Her step-by-step do’s and don’ts are accompanied by fashion photography, and the book is personalized with her charming drawings. Inès also shares how to bring Parisian chic into your home, and how to insert your signature style into any space—even the office. The ultrachic volume is wrapped with a three-quarter-height removable jacket and features offset aquarelle paper and a ribbon page marker. Complete with her favorite addresses for finding the ultimate fashion and decorating items, this is a must-have for any woman who wants to add a touch of Paris to her own style.

The images and graphics are charming:

Enjoy this video about the book, with Ines sharing key pointers on how to dress French style:

Insider fashion tips from Ines de la Fressange

Note that French style isn’t quite so quite so simple as saying own a simple tee or man’s blazer. What French women do with a French blazer transforms it into something else — a look of effortless glamour that is based on simple rules and a lot of flair and originality.

Ines’s smart and funny do’s and don’ts are accompanied by her own charming drawings (see video), and fashion photography featuring her daughter Nine D’Urso who has clearly inherited mom’s genes and flair for self-expression.

Anne of Carversville has tracked Ines de la Fressange for years. While she and Karl Lagerfeld have ‘made up’, Ines is one of the few women in the world to say ‘no’ to Karl Lagerfeld, who fired her when she became a model for Marianne, France’s statue of the ideal woman.

While we revisit Ines de la Fressange, updating the recent news that she will join L’Oreal as the company’s new ‘Paris Ambassadress’, enjoy our top read of the day:
