Increasing Numbers of Americans Embrace Reincarnation

DolceTracker| According to the Pew Forum on Religion and Public Life, a quarter of Americans believe in reincarnation. Women are more likely than men to embrace the idea that our spirits are cyclical and are born multiple times in perfecting the soul. Democrats are more likely than Republicans to believe in reincarnation.

Younger people are tiring of the dogma of Christianity, the good guys and bad guys antagonisms and the suppression of women. It isn’t necessarily the case that thinking people have lost their spirituality. Rather they are seeking a religion that makes sense, in a way that Christianity, Judaism, Mormonism, and Islam don’t, especially in a modern world of scientific discoveries and an understanding that most religious practices were created by men. via NYTimes
