Hissa Hilal's New Poem Stresses Freedom of Thought

Beyond the Veil| Saudi Poetess Hissa Hilal didn’t win the top prize in the “Million’s Poet” programme on Emirati television. She came in with a respectable third place showing and top honors among the judges. Not enough of the popular vote went for Hilal to give her first place.

The top winner received 67% of total possible contest points to Hilal’s 62%.
