High BMI in Kids Aged Nine Tied To Heart Disease At Age 15
RoseTracker| A British study of 5,235 children, led by Professor Debbie Lawlor from the University of Bristol, concludes that children with a high BMI at age nine and don’t lose weight, will show symptoms of heart disease at age 15, after adujusting for all other factors. The study is part of a larger one tracking 14,000 British children since birth.
Tam Fry, from th National Obesity Forum agrees, saying: “There are now alarming signs of hardening of the arteries among young people.” Read on at Daily Mail UK.
