Getaway Treehouses Close to the Back Door

Decades ago, treehouses were for the kids, and lots of modern adults still describe the aerial-hangout kid zone. Now parents are ‘movin on up’, using treehouses for home offices and meditation retreats.

TreeHouse Workshop, a Seattle-based design and construction firm that’s built more than 100 treehouses. Typical clients pay anywhere from $40,000 to $80,000 for a 200-square-foot, fully-finished treehouse with electricity, but the company has built its share of six-figure luxury hideaways complete with full bathrooms and gourmet kitchens. via WSJ
