'Free Gaza' Confirms New Boat On the Way to Gaza
Love | Peace Egypt just announced that it’s temporarily lifting its blockade of the Gaza Strip, allowing aid into the area via northern Sinai.
Finding its support of the Israeli blockade potentially indefensible among other Arabs, the governor of northern Sinai, Murad Muwafi, announced that the effort is designed to “alleviate the suffering of our Palestinian brothers after the Israeli attack” on the flotilla.
Meanwhile, Pro-Palestinian activists announced that another boat is on the way to challenge the Gaza blockade. Greta Berlin of the Free Gaza Movement announced that another cargo boat was off the coast of Italy en route to Gaza. It’s expected that a second boat carrying about three dozen passengers is expected to join it.
“This initiative is not going to stop,” she said from the group’s base in Cyprus. “We think eventually Israel will get some kind of common sense. They’re going to have to stop the blockade of Gaza, and one of the ways to do this is for us to continue to send the boats.” via AP
