For Women, Too, College Linked to Marriage in US

RedTracker| University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School researchers Betsey Stevenson and Adam Isen say that education enjoys a positive correlation with marital happiness. The study for the Council on Contemporary Families suggests that college-educated men and women were less likely to see marriage as a source of financial stability, approaching it instead as “a source of personal fulfillment.”

Today 86% of white women with degrees marry by age 40 and 70% of black women. Like their white counterparts, college-educated black women are less likely to divorce. via Wall Street Journal
