For ABC | FOX Censors Cacique Model Ashley Graham's Beautiful Breasts Too Much To Handle

No sooner had we finished reading TIME’s article about the pill. then we discovered the ruckus around Lane Bryant’s Cacique lntimates lingerie commercial being banned by censors at FOX and ABC. Lane Bryant refused to back down, after making several changes in an attempt to appease the network censors.

With VS Angels parading around in the same time slot — denied by the networks but LB has proof VS aired — Lane Bryant and Cacique folks —  and American women — want to know what’s up with these guys.

It’s easy to claim it’s size discrimination. I hate to tell you, my friends, but I believe the problem runs deeper than that. The censors said the cleavage is just too much — too abundant. Do you remember then Attorney John Ashcroft demanding that the breasts in the Great Hall of the Department of Justice be covered up?The man in charge of first amendment rights and free speech in America convered up the statues.

Unfortunately these censors have a very uncomfortable relationship with breasts. It’s the same ‘ol patriarchal problem. On their porn stars, breasts are fantabulous. (Remember, Conservatives buy more porn.) On real women and especially around children, breasts are a bad, bad thing.
