Eco-Activism At Heart of Steven Meisel, Kristen McMenamy Italian Vogue Editorial

Eco-artist Kathleen Nowak Tucci of My Sister’s Art gets her recycled rubber materials from two Gulf Coast American towns: Pensacola, Florida and Atmore, Alabama. She joins us in not being offended by the Italian Vogue oil-spill editorial featuring Kristen McMenamy in the Sept. 2010 issue.

Generally called a publicity stunt, Italian Vogue — known for mixing politics and fashion — has been heavily criticized in the American press. Anne explains why she rejects this criticism of the Steven Meisel photo shoot that’s making big waves in the fashion community.
