Critical Ruling Due Nov. 16 2009 in Chansa Kabwela Case

Beyond the Veil| As an update to the Chansa Kabwela case, magistrate Charles Kafunda has set November 16, 2009 as the date for ruling on whether Chansa kabwela must answer the charges lodged against her.

In a related proceeding the Lusaka High Court has dismissed the contempt case agaianst Mr Fred M’membe, his deputy Sam Mujuda and a Zambian law professor based in the US Muna Ndulo, after the trio sought judicial review of the decision of a lower court that cited them for contempt.
