Chinese Environmentalists Lose Pants on Subway

HopeTracker| Chinese environmental activists stripped down to their underwear inside a Guandong subway on Sunday, determined to promote awareness about sustainable. The 20 or so men and women rose bare legged for 40 minutes, reading newspapers and listening to music in their underwear.

The protesters were organised by the Improv Everywhere group, and followed similar actions in the UK, US and around the world. The Chinese action attracted more attention from the media than government authorities. Environmental concerns are taken seriously in China, where the central government has issued its first paper on climate change. and international bodies, including the UK government, the Worldwide Fund for Nature and Greenpeace, have mounted climate campaigns in China. via Guardian UK
