Bob Barker Major Backer of Sea Shepherd

Today’s Christian Science Monitor delivers a detailed look at former game show host Bob Barker’s involvement in funding Sea Shepherd and Paul Watson’s quest to end the slaughter of whales.

Bob Barker has a long history as an animal rights activist. According to CSM, he quit as host of the Miss Universe Pageant in 1988 when the producers refused to ban fur. Barker became a vegetarian in 1979 and in 1994 started the DJ & T Foundation, which subsidizes spay and neuter clinics for pets.
