Amy's Daughter Sophia Chua Writes 'New Tiger in Town' Blog
RedTracker| Amy Chua’s daughter Sophia Chua-Rubenfeld started a blog earlier this month with the title ‘New Tiger in Town’. Her purpose is to set the world straight on growing up with Amy, writes the Daily Caller.
When the whole world’s calling you a mindless robot, you kind of get the urge to start talking! Even though ‘Sophia’ in the book is much more impressive than Sophia in real life,” Chua-Rubenfeld wrote in a blog post.
Since her original Wall Street Journal essay, Amy Chau has been called monstrous, abusive and a generally horrendous parent for having very high, as in Chinese Tiger mom expectations of her two daughters Sophia and Lulu.
The NYPost reported in January that Amy Chua received death threats and printed Sophia’s letter Dear Tiger Mom. She wrote:
No outsider can know what our family is really like. They don’t hear us cracking up over each other’s jokes. They don’t see us eating our hamburgers with fried rice. They don’t know how much fun we have when the six of us — dogs included — squeeze into one bed and argue about what movies to download from Netflix.
