America Not Serious About Alternative Energy

HopeTracker| America isn’t serious about new energy. Technology companies spend 5 percent to 15 percent of revenue on research and development. Energy companies spend only one-quarter of 1 percent. Our federal government is no better, spending $30 billion on health research, but only $3 billion on clean energy research.

This is not a political party problem, but a national mindset one. Simply stated, we like big cars, lots of oil. It’s good to the last drop. The more the better. Our interest in environmental action has plummeted to last on our list of national priorities.
