America Gets Failing Grade in Biodefense Preparedness
Love and Peace| More than eight years after the Sept. 11 terror attacks, the US is so unprepared to respond to a biological terror attack, that a congressionally appointed commission gave both Congress and the White House “F” grades for failing to build a rapid-response capability for dealing with a bio terror attack.
For ordinary citizens, the mangled response of federal government to the swine-flu epidemic was blatant evidence of America’s lack of preparedness for a large-scale crisis.
