RedTracker| 16-year-old US sailor Abby Sunderland’s yacht was spotted in the southern Indian Ocean. Three ships are on their way to retrieve her, with the first expected to be with her in 24 hours.
Radio contact has been made with her, and she is fine.
“Wild Eyes is upright but her rigging is down,” her parents posted on her blog. “The weather conditions are abating. Radio communication was made and Abby reports that she is fine!” Her rigging is down.
Abby Sunderland, was following the path of her brother Zac, attempting to beat her brothers record and become the youngest person to complete the journey.
