New research on environmental conditions in Australian tunnels documents a toxic cocktail of ultrafine particles in concentration levels so high, they have the potential to darm both drivers and passengers. via Science Daily
Drivers with windows tightly closed were safer than people driving older vehicles, motorcycles and convertibles. The pollution concentrations were among the highest every recorded, compared to earlier studies.
