Senator Olympia J. Snowe expects growing public discontent with the health care system. A member of the Group of Six — three Dems and three Republicans including Charles Grassley of Iowa and Michael Enzi of Wyoming, Snowe may be the only wo(man) standing among Republicans, when it comes to major changes in health care.

“They may say they are satisfied now,” the senator said in an interview (reflecting on voters who say they’re satisfied with the American health care system), “but it is going to get worse, given the skyrocketing increases that are only going to persist. Something needs to be done to remove the deep anxiety that people find themselves in because of the lack of health insurance.” via NYTimes
