UN Report Says Asia's Facing Unprecedented Food Shortages

With a population increase of 1.5 billion by 2050, Asia’s demand for food will double, says the report from the UN’s Food and Agriculture Organisation (FAO) and the World Bank-funded International Water Management Institute (IWMI).

The report says that water tables in parts of India and China have dropped catastrophically in the last few years.
