A sense of cynicism crept into a Network Nation crowd that a year ago saw nothing but promise in Senator Barack Obama. Valerie Jarrett didn’t duck the questions, expressed concern, and gave comparatively no nonsense answers to ‘fair’ questions. The audience wasn’t as rowdy as this week’s heath debate town hall meetings, but frustrations over Blackwater, torture photos, and losing the public option on health care created a four-minute fracas in a lukewarm one hour talk.
Per Huff Po, the audience wanted red meat on key concerns, not diplomacy or what could be called a ‘grey middle’ (my term). A
