Stating the Obvious: Eco-Therapy for Environmental Depression and Deprivation
The new TIME mag has an in-depth feature on depression.
While I digest the contents, let me share one of those ‘duh?’ articles that makes so much sense. When we’re ‘cut off’ from nature, we become sad. When there’s not sun on our heads, we have a physiological, hormonal, emotional reaction.
Cure for eco-depression. Hug a tree.Humans are not meant to live indoors the entire day; we become depressed.
I hope this article ‘Eco-Therapy’ for Environmental Depression doesn’t suggest that we see a shrink. I will be your shrink. Put down your laptop, and go take a walk outside. Now! Then please come back to me, after the sun goes down.
Love, Anne
