On the Subject of Escaping Planet Earth, Our Exit Is A Collision Course

Reading this WSJ article Debris on Earth Is Devastating in Orbit, the vision of ET came to mind … ET riding his bicycle into the stars.

The last line of this YouTube cut is “Don’t Crash Please.”

To all the optimists who say our escape from Planet Earth will take us into the heavens and faraway galaxies, it seems that this may be another modern myth shattered.

We have a newly crafted description for that seemingly glorious vision called the sky: orbital hailstorm of junk in the sweeping superhighways of space.
